Books Galore – Forkbeard and the Ghost King

Book Printing Galore with the Jetpress 720s Digital Press

We have been delighted to work again with local author Hatty Ashton on her second book – ‘Forkbeard and the Ghost King’. The book, which is inspired by the tale of Swen Forkbeard and his vision of St Edmund the Martyrd King, is written by Hatty and illustrated by Joshua Rosewarne-Andrews.

It follows the theme of Harriets first book, There’s a Head in my Bed, which also features St Edmund but you’ll have to read the book to find out just what he’s been up to next!

The book is printed here at Kingfisher Press on our Heidelberg Litho press, PUR bound on the long edge and finished with a gloss laminate cover for that special book feel.

You can read all about Hatty and her new book here or visit the Bury St Edmunds Catherdral shop, Moyse Hall Museum or The Apex to pick up a copy. What a fabulous gift for kids for World Book Day!

Book Printing

Self-publishing is becoming more and more popular and with high definition digital short run colour book printing now available at cost effective prices it makes it easier than ever.

On several projects we have printed a small quantity ‘test the market’ run of a book to help self-publicists forecast if a book will be a success.

So far, every project has resulted in a longer run litho printed copy being ordered.

We print a wide range of books here at Kingfisher Press, both Litho and digital, including Childrens story books, photographic coffee table books, reference books, guide books, novels and much much more. Find out what we can do by visiting the Kingfisher Press Website here.

With such accuracy and flexibility, the Jetpress 720s is a fabulous piece of technology to experiment with, not only with books but with all kinds of printed projects such as cards, cartons and boxes.
